RS&H Appoints New Texas Transportation Leaders

By Joe VanHoose

November 11, 2019

RS&H, one of the largest transportation engineering and consulting firms in the U.S., has named Eddie Sanchez, PE, as its Texas State Leader. Additionally, the firm has hired Tony Arredondo, PE to lead its Dallas office and promoted Nick Arnio, PE, PMP, PTOE, to serve as its San Antonio Office Leader. Don Glenn, PE, has been promoted to Transportation-Infrastructure Operations Manager and will continue to reside in Houston.

“Over the past few years, we have hit record proportions in our sales and financial performance and are growing well above the national average for firms our size,” said RS&H Transportation-Infrastructure (T-I) Practice Director Jim Hullett. “As we look to the future, it is of paramount importance that we align ourselves in a way that best positions us to reach our strategic objectives for growth and sustainability.”

As the Texas State Leader, Sanchez is directly responsible for all sales, financial, operational, staffing and client interface associated with our Texas market for the T-I Practice.

Sanchez, who joined RS&H in 2017, has 37 years of experience in transportation engineering, including 20 years with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in highway design, construction management and administration. As a TxDOT employee, he provided executive-level direction, management, and engineering oversight for transportation planning, operations, right-of-way, design, construction, inspection, maintenance, safety, and environmental functions in the San Antonio, Houston and El Paso Districts.

Arredondo arrives at RS&H with 37 years of experience in increasingly responsible positions in the public and private sector. He spent the first part of his career with TxDOT in the Paris, Dallas, Bryan, and San Antonio Districts, ascending from an engineering assistant to Deputy District Engineer.

For the past 17 years as a consultant, Arredondo oversaw transportation operations in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and Houston markets, leading marketing, staff management, and project and program oversight and management efforts.

Arnio, a longtime RS&H employee, has 17 years of experience serving public and private clients and a broad range of experience in transportation planning and traffic operations projects. He is currently managing TxDOT’s I-10 Planning and Environmental Linkage (PEL) Study project in Houston.

A national fully integrated architecture, engineering, and consulting services firm, RS&H has offices in Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Tyler.
