Jacksonville's Infrastructure Front and Center

The Jacksonville Business Journal reported that a recent riverfront pier failing has put the city’s infrastructure front and center. This comes on the heels of the Obama Administration announcing new steps to bring private sector capital and expertise to bear on improving our nation’s roads, bridges, and broadband networks.

RS&H’s Kim Holland, PE, VP and Jacksonville Transportation Office Leader, addressed the $165 million Overland Bridge Replacement Project, which is revamping the city’s major downtown interstate and a success story showcasing local, state, federal, and private cooperation.

“A lot went into that design,” she said. “I believe our agencies work hard to maintain the infrastructure we have and make sure public welfare and public safety is No. 1.”
